What I pride myself on is that from the beginning I have refused to sell my soul to any kind of set view/camp on autism. I have fought, with myself, constantly on how I should feel about it.

I am new to autism and since February this year (when my son was diagnosed with autism), my view on K's neurology has changed almost every 2 weeks (or something close to that frequency)! However increasingly my intuition, sensibility and maternal compassion is pulling me towards a kind of acceptance. There are so many views that there is almost a perspective spectrum of the autism spectrum! My daily experience with autism is taking me to a point on this perspective spectrum where I am starting to see the joy in autism.

A few months ago, I never thought I would ever say something like that. I would have got angry with someone who suggested any joy. How dare they?

Look at us, we are going broke! Why then are we more content than we were in the beginning of the year?
