There is a light inside you when you are born. This light will flicker when the winds of change blow a little too hard. Sometimes the storm is so rough, the light will extinguish.
I continually fail to meet my own expectations. So I lower the bar. I fail again. I lower the bar again and fail again. My light is starting to dim a bit.
Your obstacles sometimes seem insurmountable to you.
There were thousands and thousands of people in places of hellish persecution called concentration camps. Some of these people survived and rebuilt their shattered lives. Sometimes it took them decades to do so.
So really your obstacles are not insurmountable. Not even close. They just appear that way to you. If you try hard enough, you can often choose how to feel.
So grieve if you must. Wait for the winds to settle. Make your peace with God and carry on. As long as you are alive, there really is no other option.
